The Gallery of Modern Art, what a fun place to hangout. I went with my friends Beth and Cenna (they have blogs to if you want to check them out) and it was so fun and totally FREE!!! My favourite was the wall of I wish ribbons. The idea is to take a ribbon of the wall and replace it with your own wish. My ribbon said I wish I could say whatever I wanted to. There was also a huge table filled with white lego that you could go and build things, some of them were amazing. There were just so many fun things to do I would totally recommend visiting if you are in the city anytime soon.

 Just some other fun things...

My weekend...

Southbank markets and some longboarding...

GoMA...a wall full of ribbons, a cube full of fluorescent lighting and a room full of balloons!!

Sunset longboard with my brother...

end of a uni week...

It has been a stressful week, as I'm sure most of the coming ones will be also, but to end the day nicely Teniele and I joined Kaycee for sushi to meet her best friend from Cairns, Erin at Broadbeach. Sushi was delicious and to really top the day off a bit of a longboard along the waters edge.

the art of being a nanna...

Last night was our first craft club! It was really fun just all hanging out sewing and eating m&m as well as delicious home made cookies!
This is us.
We finished of sewing our cat softies.
I got a lovely surprise from CB, a golden book for my collection.
I even got to give Ellie lots of cuddles during the night!!

If you have any fun, new, or just awesome things we could make let me know!

Sleeping on air...

I would consider myself a hiking and outdoor adventure enthusiast! But check out these outdoor sleeping arrangements, they are taking hiking and rock climbing to a whole new level and are literally living on the edge! Don't know if I would be trusting enough to do this?

Invitation Madness...

I have finally completed my 21st invitations and now just to send them out! I can't take all the credit for them it was a combined effort with my wonderful mother who pretty much got hand cramp after writing them all (my excuse was that I have messy handwriting...if you had seen it you would believe me!)

What do you think?

My Weekend...

A drive to the city to book our flights to NEPAL!!!

Sabbath Lunch at the Cameron's with some street cricket, longboarding and a modified game of hackie sack (which I am not coordinated or talented enough to play haha)

Work with little miss Suli... it really tough, I get to read books to her and play games :)

A bit of a catch up with some of my school friends a wynnum and of course there was longboarding!!!

Birthday Business...

Well some more plans have finally been locked in. I originally had the idea of wanting a huge chalkboard as a photo wall, but this would be very messy and probably not make my photos look that good. However on venture with my Mum and brother last night to Ikea (possibly my favourite shop) I found this amazing green striped material, I love the colour green so it wasn't that hard to sell it to me. Mum also found this other patterned fabric that matched the stripes so we got that also just in case.

What do you think?

(Sorry the photo doesn't make the colours look that amazing but it truly is)

My Day...

My first official day off from uni and I made the most of it.

I have been wanting to see the movie no strings attached for ages and today I had a movie and lunch date with my friend Sarah. It is a fantastic movie, I was laughing aloud throughout the movie. Doesn't the picture make it look like we are going to a stage show.

We were a bit hungry post movie, Toscani's was the nourishment we chose...and it was delicious!

We even got to have a bit of a visit to a local op shop, where I got another jar, a few more books and a bow tie.
How awesome is this bow tie!!!

Dinner with the Parentals...

When Dad was a kid his Mum would get him and his brother Chicken Maryland for dinner occasionally from a local cafe/restaurant. Till this day it is one of his favourite meals that he has ever eaten and every time he describes it he gets this glint in his eyes and smile on his face.

Well this week the local RSL club had a special 9.90 for Chicken Maryland for dinner. Dad couldn't miss the opportunity to rekindle with his past love (needless to say he was a little disappointed) but even as we were waiting in the line to order Dad was describing to me what it actually is. For those of you who don't know, it pretty much a leg of Chicken (and in Dad's ideal meal) has fried pineapple, banana and vegetables with it. Ours was not like had salad, roast potatoes and a lemongrass sauce covered the chicken. It did not live up to his expectations, but I let him in on a secret that after 30 years of waiting and wishing for this dream meal I don't think it ever will. Even so, I was a nice meal and a fun night with my parentals!
He still managed to scrap every last bit of chicken of the bone, as well as finishing mine :)

Starting Semester Shambles...

It has been a few days since my last blog efforts and this makes me sad...if you have been wondering where I have been, it's a little think called UNIVERSITY!

I have only been back for three days and already I am going crazy with the amount of content that they have thrown at us and expected us to learn instantly. I have just returned home from... wait for it... a 6 HOUR lab. I am going to try my absolute best to keep my blogging up, as I love doing it, but its not my fault if I tend to neglect you for awhile.

Long highway drives to uni at 7 in the morning.
My new reading material.
I went to see one of my lecturers today and saw this on one of the professors doors...I think he must like Harry Potter. It mad me smile.

All Stars...

Saturday night was the IND vs. NRL All stars game at Skilled park. It was a really fun game and a great way to kick of the football season.  It was also the first football game of the five I wish to attend for my 101 list, 72. Go to 5 Football Games.
