I was reunited with my uni friends, who I had pretty much not seen for the entire holidays! I had a sushi date with them and then we had these yummy cupcakes. It was so fun hangout with them again, I have missed seeing their smiling faces!
 Teniele and Kaycee...they are awesome!

Also did some fabulous longboarding along side the beach.

Chilling at the beach

Not to forget a little bit of fun photos.

On the Fly...

92. Go to the driving range.
Sunday night a few experienced (the boys) and some not so experienced (Sarah and I) went to the driving range. It was Sez and mine first time and we didn't do half bad, I'm not Tiger Woods but I could hit it 75m on the fly by the end of the night. I even hit the little car that collects the golf balls once, which I was quite proud of.  It was a really fun night!

So Brooke was absolutely amazing!!! We had front and centre seats (thanks to Mali's ninja skills...Mali also has more photo's on her blog) and brooke was literally a metre away from us. She even donated all the profits from the night to the QLD Flood Relieve.
She even signed my ticket!!!!

My weekend...

Tonight is the night...Brooke Fraser Concert is finally here. I am quite excited!

18th Birthday Party...

Yesterday was Mitchell's 18th Birthday, so we had a bit of a BBQ and hangout with other families and friends to celebrate the occasion.

Blowing out his candles and some presents he received.
 Mitchell and his Sister Kayla.
Mitch loves kicking soccer balls around and he got TWO for his birthday. He instantly got all of them to  play with him as soon as they were opened.
We even played pass-the-parcel, Jarryd was a little too excited by the hand clappers.
Mitch loves all types of coloured lights, so as soon as it was dark enough on they came.
Even had a night time swim.

Aussie Aussie Aussie...

Australia Day 2011! A group of us all went down to Tumblegum to wakeboard in the Tweed River. What a fantastic day it turned out to was a sunny day, great company, good food and I FINALLY got up on the wakeboard. Talk about excitement...this made me happy for the rest of the day.

Dadagaun Village Project...

Later this year a group of 16 friends and myself will be travelling over to Nepal and more specifically Dadaguan Village, on a mission trip. Dadaguan is a small village around 50 mins drive from Kathmandu. Around 300 people live here and the local school and orphanage provides the only education for Dadaguan and another neighbouring village.

The Dadaguan Village Project focuses on education support for the school and orphanage, but in order for this to happen, a cottage must first be built. This is the goal for our trip this September. It is a worthy project and I am really excited to be involved and see this beautiful country.

If you would like to help the project check out the website, you could help a child go to school for the year - $120; or even buy a cubic foot of sand for 85 cents to help us began the building.

Dress Love...

What a fabulous summer dress, would be perfect for an outdoor type wedding. I just love it!

Curiouser and curiouser...

Alice in Wonderland was definately a fav of mine when I was little and it still is today!  I love the Mad Hatter and all his crazy quotes:
'There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter.'
'No wonder why your late, this watch is exactly two days slow.'

And Alice is wonderfully cute and courageous all at the same time:
'Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin; but a grin without a Cat! It's the most curious thing I ever say in my life.'
'I can't explain myself, I'm Afraid, Sir, because I'm not myself you see.'
A friend of mine is having a 21st Birthday Party themed, Disney and Looney Tunes Characters, and it is the perfect opportunity for me to embrace my inner Alice. I am even going to attempt to sew my own dress...aren't these Alice's lovely! They are my inspiration for my very own Alice outfit. I will keep you posted on my sewing progress.

'If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what is wouldn't be, it would. You see?'

My typewriter...

I came home last week to a surprise from my Dad... he had gotten me a typewriter!!! And the cool thing about this particular typewriter is that it belonged to my Opa and it over 30 years old. So naturally it is HUGE and needs some new ink, but it still works and is awesome because it belonged to my Opa!!!

This is my Opa...

He is 75 years old
He is Dutch
He collects coins
He loves to tell me jokes
He use to own all types of old vintage cars and loved to take Jarryd and I for a drive around the block.
He is pretty RAD!!!

Last year He had a heart attack that left him with some brain damage so he now lives at a Nursing Home. We like to go and visit him as much as possible and just hangout with him.

Three Generations!

Last week my whole family went and visited him and decorated his room with pictures as he had just recently been moved to a new one. It was really good to just sit and chat with him, even in his old age he still likes to crack a joke and be really silly with us.
